Many people today suffer from some form of stress. Our bodies are designed to react to stress, to protect us from threats, for example (this is a good thing). Your hypothalamus sets off an alarm system in your body, prompting the release of a surge of hormones.
Over time, this can, however, disrupt almost all your body’s processes. If the mind and body are constantly on edge because of excessive stress, one can, therefore, face serious illnesses. Someone with digestive problems or insomnia for example, may be under stress and from what I would know about the body I would understand that there may be a link and so look at addressing the cause (stress).
